JoAnn Tillman Hooper was born to wonderful parents, the late Rev. Benjamin and Minister Georgia Collier Tillman. She is the proud mother of 4 children, and has 7 beautiful grandchildren.
JoAnn T. Hooper received her education in Aiken County Schools in North Augusta, SC. She has also completed other courses for the sake of ministry. Ms. Hooper was employed by Aiken County Schools for many years.
In August of 2000, she became the Pastor of Ridge Hill Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC. Her preaching and teaching has affected many through the years. She has always had a genuine love for people. Her love for people is the reason she started the non-profit organization named JoAnn Tillman Ministries Inc. This ministry has implemented Health Fairs, Back to School Fest, Marriage vs. Single Seminars, Eat to Live Seminars, Summer Youth Program, and more.
In August of 2007, Pastor Hooper was consecrated to Bishop. She then changed the name of the church to Ridge Hill Worship and Deliverance Center.
In May of 2010, Bishop Hooper Founded Troubling the Waters Community Outreach Inc. This organization was started to reach the people in the Bradleyville area of North Augusta, SC. The organization has implemented a Family Conference, Health Fair, and other Programs on the way. With great determination her ministry has written the vision and made it plain. Now the readers are running. It is focused, ready, on fire, full of determination, thanksgiving, love and obedience to God.
